Noida . Yamuna Authority has given offer to builders. To avail the benefits of the recommendations of the Amitabh Kant Committee, they will have to pay 25 percent of the outstanding amount to the authority. The authority will pave the way for taking possession of the land allotted to builders by distributing 64.7 percent additional compensation to the affected farmers with this amount. This offer from the authority may give impetus to the stalled builder projects. Builders were informed about the outstanding amount in a meeting held with Authority Chairman Anil Sagar at the YIDA office on Thursday.
Yamuna Authority has allotted land for nine builder projects. Four builder projects are in the hands of national company La Tribunal. The authority owes approximately Rs 4700 crore to nine builders. There are ten thousand flat buyers in these builder projects, who are waiting for their homes. Due to non-completion of the project, they have not been able to get possession of the flat, even though the buyers have paid almost the entire cost of the flat.
Due to incomplete projects, settlement in the authority city is also not gaining pace. These recommendations have been accepted in the meeting. Chairman Anil Sagar held a meeting with the builders to give them the benefit of these recommendations.
